Since a couple of days ago, SETI has began overestimating the CPU time required to crunch WU's. WU's that SETI says will take 10 hours end up taking less than half of that. Is this happening to anyone else or is it just me?
Maybe you should rerun your BOINC benchmark. Sometimes mine scores way lower than it is supposed to be, so I rerun it. You know, maybe it was benchmarking while you were gaming or doing some other CPU intensive stuff, so BOINC thinks you got a slow CPU. BOINC benchmarks every5 days or so.
The benchmark can be quite wrong from time to time. I've had a P4 2,8GHz benchmark with something like 6000/8000 while my X2 3800+ had like 1000/1500. That's why I like projects like Einstein which don't care about the benchmark
