Relax;

I performed a little experiment with some not-so-surprising resluts. In an enclosed room in my basement, I measured the ambient air temperature and averaged over a few days time with no machines running in it. Temps averaged 64 degrees fahrenheit. I put two crunchers into the room (in cases with 1 monitor) and then measured temps again over a 5 day period and the temps averaged 68 degrees.

Therefore, I get four degrees of "free" heat in my basement that I wouldn't have had by running SETI 24/7. It's a good thing!

Oh, this works for any other TeAm DC project as well. Help heat your home! Crunch for the TeAm!

So, what you're trying to tell me is.... if I run 35 machines in the house, I won't have to pay a heating bill....right?:Q

ever since adding more machines in my condo ive been keeping the sides off the cases to heat the rooms. i figure im gonna pay for either the electric bill or the heat so screw it and get both at once. keeps the cruncher colder and heats the house at the same time.

you guys just need a couple of these tied into your houses grid. ;)

...if I had enough land I'd probably get one.

just got to thinking about that, must be well insolated, my 3 boxes don't change the temp in my bed room but 1 degree tops.

I know I couldn't of survived this winter if it wasn't for my bedside crunchers.
