Seti makes contact?

Life is 99.999999999999999% likely to be out there so it's not that big of a surprise.

I strongly question the source, but if contact was found I'm not surprised that it's not on CNN yet.

Nothing, my friend, is certain.

Unless this is true, in which 100% is correct.

That, or you know some really really really really really powerful and informed people.

Last I checked, everyone dies.

If this is real (seems unlikely from that source) it probably isn't aliens. They all thought they had discovered alien signals when the first pulsar star was discovered too.

Death and taxes aside. 😛

Last I checked 2 + 2 = 4. That is a certainty.

Unless of course, you are talking about large values of 2, then 2 + 2 = 5 😛. (Joke for all the math people here).

im sure advanced alien societies are smart enough to avoid humans at all costs....who the hell would want to purposely welcome our idiotcy, stupidity and drama into their homes.

Because, they would look at how our President sucks, and smile on the inside.

Only in base 10 does that apply.

Doubt the news are reliable. As far as I remember, SETI program dwindled down and urged participants to move on to other distributed projects.

Math is hardly the numbers set in stone we once thought.
The omega number and it's philosophical impact on the field of mathematics is simply mind blowing and I would be lying to pretend I knew much more than that. Plus it's friday night and time to go partay.
Good night everyone.
