Seti is not sending stats back

My seti@home client is not sending the results back and it's almost finished computing my stored work units.

The transmit screen says:

Found data file: no. Found result header file: no.
Getting data - connecting to server.
connect: No such file or directory
Can't connect to server; will retry in an hour.

I'm not sure why it is not finding the header or data files, they are there in the directories. Also, why wouldn't it be able to connect to the server. It was connecting fine the other day.

I'm not sure if it's corruption or not. My SetiDriver is 1.6.4.0 and my CLI client is 3.03.
I've downloaded the newer versions but I don't want to lose my units that I had processed.
I have almost 10 ready to send back.

Any ideas? Is it a version problem? Could I just upgrade the version and have it send back my completed WUs?

Why can I still not make a connection to the server??

It still says No data file or header file and can't connect to server.

I tried to install on my lappy with the new version and it's stuck connecting to the server too.

I've got 9 PC's here plus 3 or 4 remote PC's running seti with setihide, and ALL of the PC's i have here have been sending and receiving units normally over the last few days.

go figure  ?

I'm not using a queue. I'm just sending straight through with the old client.
Would it send completed WUs up if you just change the version, or will it try to download fresh ones?

Ok, perhaps I'll hold off til I get back.
I might end up trying the new version installed to a different location on the hd
and then upload the old WUs later with the old version.
Thanx for the help.

Man, that's why I love SetiQueue! Got about 10000+ wu saved up...enough to go for a month...😀 Bring on the downtime!

i set mine to a cashe size of 500, so if this happens im good, works similar to the queue

We're up to 544 results waiting in our q.

I'm Queing ~25 units on each machine with setihide, but AFAIK setihide starts an instance of seti CLI to receive and send each WU , so i guess they are being sent straight thru in some respects.

The campus network folks did some great troubleshooting and narrowed down the problem to a faulty link on the path to our ISP. Repairs have been called in.

i get a bunch of new Boinc WUs, ...

Hey Mavrick007,
When it appears your WU's aren't sending/recieving properly, check out the
Data Server Status page for info.

A new version wouldn't help send WU's if there no place to send them to. Just keep a cache of about 3-4 days worth for your computers & you should be fine.

edit- server still appears to be acting up a bit. In the time it took to write my post they went
offline again. Probably getting swamped 🙁

The reason I asked about changing versions is because it said something about "incompatible version", or to that extent, but I'm not in front of that computer now.

I was just checking the main page for updates cause it said the 17th was having server problems.
I guess they are up, but are still being swamped with requests. Perhaps my machine has connected by now. I'll find out after I get back home.

Thanx for the info.

I just checked my stats online and it looks like it increased from what it was the other day.
I do believe it has sent the WUs back. I will know for sure when I get home. Thanx all.

Finally my WUs have all totally uploaded.
It was having a terrible time connecting
to the server.

I think I'm going to upgrade the SetiDriver and CLI client now.

I'm still not getting my WU's to go from a few PC's

I have about 40WU sitting on my PC at work, done, and not uploading... 🙁
