Seti Icon Remover

I'm using Seti Icon Remover to remove the Seti icon from the system tray. If I run it, it works fine but if I create a shortcut of it in the startup and reboot my pc, the icon stays in the sytem tray. If I click the shortcut in the startup, it works. I've tried putting it in the registry aswell, but it only works when you run it manually. I need something to remove the icon 'cause the users at work who's cpus I'm borrowing, doesn't understand that crunching wu for Team Anandtech is the most importend thing ever...

What operating system are you running? If you're running NT/2000/XP there's several programs out there that can install SETI as a service that's totally hidden from the users. Have a look here... LINK

Also, make sure that you have full permission to run Seti on those machines at work, especially if you personally don't own them. Your job is the most important thing ever, not TA Seti 😉🙂

If you do...then look at the link Robor posted 🙂

And dayum you've not posted much 😉

Yes,

make sure you have access from the top before installing Seti on work machines. No sense losing your job, being fined , and jailed for DC. Just check out dmcowen's stoy 🙁

indeed, make 100% for certain you have it in writing that it is ok'd by the owner of said company that you have permission to run it.....and I hear setihide is good at runnig in the background, or if they are 2k/xp boxes you can just install it as a service.
