Pokey, your name is misleading considering you lead the TeAm in production by a substantial margin :colbert:

I was going to ask a question regarding how Seti credits are calculated and discovered the answer on my own.
For those who will understand here is the link:

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/CreditNew

I admit I did not understand all I read, but did bring away an appreciation for the difficulties involved in computing credit for DC projects.

I was noodling around and noticed that one of the top racers has a computer with Six GTX690’s that puts out 100,000 RAC by itself, and one with four AMD Radeon’s…………. I don’t think I have even seen a motherboard that will take six GPUs..........
I'm envious.......

But not enough to go out and buy one.

there is no motherboard that will fit 6 dual-slot GPUs on it. even if he removed the reference coolers and went with a water cooled setup, WC gear still takes up a slot in space, so its effectively like having a dual-slot GPU all over again. my guess is that he's using at least 2 PCIe risers.

Thanks, that opens up a whole new world I didn't know about............. Let's hope it is real expensive so I'm not tempted. :colbert:

Those are GTX 690's which are dual cards. He's only got three physical cards in the machine that looks like 6 (3X2)...

oh yeah...doh! i forgot that's how they would be represented on the S@H website...in that case, i guess there are quite a few boards that can handle that...
