Setiathome with the Data from Arecibo will be the first Project for BOINC, and it will be run at Oktover 2003.

Seti@home BOINC will be the first analyse the 2 Bit Data and the new 8 Bit Data from Arecibo also from the Reobserve.

Seti@home BOINC and the Classic Version will be running paralel a time, and the Data will be stored in the same
Datenbank.

Astropule will start after Seti@home BOINC, because the Paul Demorest is working at an different Project.

Thanks for the news !😀

So when does SETI BOINC start?

Btw guys we are going to have to make a choice when the 2 projects overlap ,do we immedatley switch to BOINC to get a head start (not my choice😉) or stick with S@H1 to the end to keep us ahead of HWF & maybe BBR?Its gonna be a toughie!

It looks like the timeline for future directions is updated... even it stands it last was updated in December 2002.

According to this timeline, Seti@BOINC starts October 2003, and Seti@Home-data-server is turned off end October 2003... in other words 1 month overlap.
Southern hemisphere is scheduled to start recording in December, the same time Astropulse is released, and southern hemisphere client released January 2004.

The most interesting point from my standpoint is to find out if Arecibo & Australian Seti is counted as 1 or 2 projects, since from my understanding of BOINC is that every project has separate stats...
