So I just started the whole distributed computing idea last night. Got my Linux box all set up, and started crunching. I went to sleep, and then woke up and set up one of my Windows boxes to crunch as well. Went to school, checked up on them, and saw that there wasn't any new contact to the Linux box.

Got home, and sure enough the Linux box can't get through. So, I'm not really sure how to fix the problem. I've tried just running the client on the Linux box while the manager kept going on the windows box and no dice. I keep getting "No schedulers responded" when I try to update, and it won't let me upload my finished work.

So, what do I have to do to get the boxes all playing nice? I'd really like to keep both machines running, and add a third linux box, but it's obviously not going to happen at the current rate.

As a note, the network all goes through a Linksys router to get to my cable modem.

As some futher information. It is actually generating an error of 500. Which generally means that the server is over worked and unable to give me work. However, my now 2 other windows computers are sending and reciving work just fine.

I went thru on my router and manually unblocked the 1043 port for TCP and UDP for the IP address that the linux box uses. I'm also going to give the "black hole router" problem and work around some research and maybe that will fix my problem.
