We will restart the database migration to the new hardware Monday, January 7, at 18:00 UT. The outage will be several hours long. Currently, workunit production is falling behind demand. The splitters themselves are able to keep up but are not able to insert work fast enough because of competition for database access.

Anyway, it can't be 7. January 2006, since this isn't a Monday. 😉
 
Outage underway.
From the site:

We are currently in the middle of a server outage that started at 18:00 UTC. We hope to be back on line within 8-10 hours. This estimate will be updated as time progresses.

The outage is to transfer all our current BOINC data to a new database server. We cannot make any updates to the database as this happens.
