SETI Driver won't transmit?

Yzzim

Lifer
My SETI driver has been sitting here for a day with 10 WU to return and 10 to fill.

I put a check next to Display Transmit but nothing is happening 😕

Is there anyway to force the driver to transfer? I've right clicked on the systray icon and selected Transmit but still nothing.

Edit: Seems to be transmitting now, just extremelty slow.

I do have another question though, I'm running a 2.4c (hyper-threading) so should I put the Maximum Processes to 2? It's on 1 by default, but I don't think it's using 100% of the CPU.

Yeah, changing maximum processes to 2 for a HT P4 is a good idea.

Could of been some server issues at Berkeley as to why it wasn/t transmitting.
When i can't get thru the first thing i do is check the Data Server Status to see if things are working. If they are & i still can't get thru then i ping the server - shserver2.ssl.berkeley.edu (66.28.250.122) to see what happens.
It's best to try & uplaod WU's before you run out the cache in case of problems. Increase your cache size if needed.

Yes, setting the 'Max Processes' to '2' will take advantage of the HTing CPU.

Yzzim, you may wish to use a SetiQueue, such as teamanandtech.d2g.com:5001 or another, as listed in the sticky at the top of the DC forum 🙂

This will put another "step" between yourself and Berkeley, and you should be able to upload/download 24/7 from a SetiQueue, and then we can try connecting to Berkeley to send/recieve WUs, without you needing to worry 🙂

Yzzim, did you get any of the corrupted WUs from Berkeley? I was having trouble uploading/downloading from Berkeley too.

Also, like Confused said, the Queue is a good idea 😀

Ok it's not transfering at all now 🙁

Been like this for 3-4 days 🙁

I looked at the info at the top of the forum but there's no mention of where to download SetiQueue or anything 🙁

You don't have to download it. Just set setidriver to tranmitt to one of the team q's in the first thread at the top of the page.
Check the proxy server box and enter the Host and port info for the q you want to use

ok, thanks for the info 🙂

I think the problem, however, is that I have corrupt WU's 🙁
