SETI Bandwidth question

Why is it so hard to get work units but yet the stats pages still load at the same speed? Don't know if this is the case for everyone else but it is fo me.

Follow up question. Are these guys so stupid that they would put the stats ahead of the science and drive people away from the project? Why don't they shut down the webpages for a while to help aleviate (sp?) bandwidth useage from stupid peopole like me refreshing their stats every 5 seconds to see if they hit 5,000WU yet or not?

[EDIT] BTW anyone know when their spring break is? I'm assuming things will be better then? At least we could catch up.

The stats pages load the same for me too. I don't really care how they fix it, I just wish they would get it fixed...........

I'm pretty sure somebody else takes care of the webpage, so they arn't esponsible for the bandwidth for the fourums or stats pages.

Yeah - you can get to the web page and stats, except that you can't upload any results to increment the damn stats.
