Seti: Back To Full Power

My seti farm has only been running at 50% lately due to a loss of my second rig, but it will be back up by this time tomorrow almost doubling my daily production 😀

Just think...if everyone on the TeAm added 1 WU per day...that would be 3,062 extra WU's per day! 😀

I really wish i had the spare ca$h to add some new rigs but moneys tight right now and 2 is all i can stretch too 🙁

You're doing a great job...no need to worry about this sort of thing. Real life comes first.....the PC's and SETI are "extracurricular" activities! 😀

Good news moonshinemadness!

I am working on bringing up a older cruncher that the RA had go down two weeks ago. Got the power supply installed and it is up and crunching now but the NIC has either gone bad or the OS has forgot how to route network traffic. I left it crunching (15 WU's cached in setidriver when the power supply died) and hopefully once I replace the NIC it will be back to sending results tomorrow. It should add about 2.5 per day.
So there's a few more.......

Well, now I've been inspired. I've got another PIII 550 downstairs that should get 2.38 WU's per day (based on it's twin in my garage crunching)! 🙂

I'll go get the OS install started...and crunching soon..I hope! 😉

For what it's worth, I've cobbled together some spare parts and have a memory module coming, and I think I have a old Win 98 or Win 2000 CD laying around here somewhere...............................😛

I put my p2 450 back together and put it in the basement. I also just ordered a switch and I'm going to buy another p4 2.6 and put my p3 933 in the basement too. The farm is growing.

Not much...but 2.5WU's per day x 3000 people = 7500 WU's per day....so run out and add 2.5 (or more) WU's per day everyone! 😉

All I can manage now is a 500MHz Celeron bare board that's in the closet, but I'll see about getting that up later this week if I have time... Heck, it might be good for 1 WU per day (if that). 😱

Wow i go to bed and the thread explodes. My rig should be giving an extra 6wus a day increasin my daily output to 13 per day. Good to see everyone us getting all these rigs back up and running. This is my first try at running seti on linux using wine so fingers crossed 😀
