** SETI...as we know it now...

Click me! 🙁

Today's SETI photo.....as Dennilfloss has said...worth a thousand words!

The time is now....if we start now...we won't have a panic pace to avoid the consequences.

Something to ponder....

*ACK*

2 things I don't like about that chart.

1. DSLR cut our lead WAY down. And with Bandai back, they have an excellent chance of overtaking us. :Q

2. I don't like the look of HWFrance's spike upward too. It looks like they are upping production to keep us from overtaking them. :Q

We GOTTA do something about it. :Q

I'm running SETI....i put out around 2 wu's a day.....but that's also running eccp! I wasn't even aware of our race going on(been away for a while)

:Q

Is there a way that you can run SETI from more then one machine(Different WUs) and still have it count towards your user total?

Sorry if it's a n00b question 😱

Yeah, thewolfman - you can run it on as many machines as you want. I run it on all 3 here at the office 🙂

When you start up SETI driver for the first time, remember to state that you are a returning member, and not a new one - then all you have to do is put in the email address you registered with SETI 🙂

Thats it!

Uh-oh...I'm gonna have to see how many computers on campus I can utilize for SETI 😀😀😀

thawolfman,

Make SURE you have permission to run a DC program such as SETI on any PC's that you have contact with....there can be severe consequences (ask David McOwen - dmcowen674) for not getting permission...in writing too! 🙂

Friends, family and co-workers running..OK! 🙂

Great spirit, by the way! 😀

I'll have to talk to my boss and make sure it's alright, but I'm sure they could spare a few of these cluster machines for TeAm AT 😉

What Engineer just said... We want more production but we do not want to see another member put through the he11 the state of GA put David through. :| Don't risk your job, education, family, etc. Explain the program to the people at campus and get permission to install the client. 🙂

How to overcome this.....

To start...about 1500 more WU's per day....

Inactive TeAmmates: 1 WU per day...that's all! :Q

Active TeAmmates: Around 3 extra WU's each per day....🙂

Of course everyone can't up their production at anytime they want....but the end result...which is large..1500....can be broken down quite nicely when divided among the TeAm....🙂 I'm looking for new TeAmmates and new PC's.....more TeAmmates not only equal more WU's...but more fun and enthusiasm...which can be contageous! 😀

Look at the math...not impossible....?!? Difficult...yes....but definitely possible! 🙂

Go TeAm...

more..more..more! 😀

You're right. Bandai's back and DSLR has been outproducing us since his return. The fact that they signed a 120,000 WU FA today gives us less time to kick it in gear. HW France has responsed as well. Even without our recent departures we've been slowly losing ground to them lately. We need new members, period. Recruiting in DC only pulls power from one project to give to another (Robbing Peter to pay Paul 😉 ). What we need is more members and more power. I could go into a "if we had support rant" but I broke my stick on that horse a long time ago.

I have some more WUs coming....

I just set up 30 more 1GHz Cels that will be running W2K (and SETI) and the other 60 1GHz Cels that were running W98 and the 25 P4-1.6s that were running W98 are all moving to W2K. That should stabalize things and get my production up where it should be......

So that's an additional 30 1Ghz Celerons to the project? Sweet! 😀 Great news, IJump!

Hey IJump, you gonna make that 15,000 mark by the 26th? 😉 😀

I don't know..... unless someone dumps about 2300 WUs for me between now and then......

I guess I'll just have to start beating on friends to run it for me. Anyone got a big stick I could threaten them with?😉

You guys are worrying way too much. We at BBR aren't going to catch you for a VERY long time...if ever. Give your CPUs a well needed rest and enjoy your lead. It isn't going anywhere.

Hey seaquake! 😀

Let's see...you guys cut around 155k off our 419k lead in over two weeks...and you're outproducing us by around 1 to 2k per day lately....hmmm...that's what we'll do...just turn off the CPU's to rest them...they will run faster later after a good breat...😛 😉

Good to see you seaquake...stop by anytime...maybe make yourself a new home here at AnandTech! :Q😀
