Did anyone ever find out a way to stop outlook from momentarily freezing while Seti is running?

Or do I need to just find a different e-mail program?

Bat was nice, it just didnt support html when I tried it last.

Disable Offline Folders in Outlook, and you won't experience any slow-downs 🙂 It's just MS's programming of Offline Folders to use lowest priority that causes problems 🙂

If you don't need to use offline folders, then go ahead and disable it 🙂

Which menu option is that under? Seems Outlook has a labyrinth of options.

For Outlook 2000 & 2003, go to Tools, Email Accounts, View or Change email accounts, select the Exchange account and click on the Change button, then the More Settings button, then the Advanced tab, then the Offline Folder File Settings button, then click on the Disable Offline Use button.

I can't believe you couldn't find it.

😉😉😉

😀

NOTE 1: When you disable offline file use, you will not be able to access any information currently stored in the offline folders, including emails, calendar, tasks, and contacts. Move any info you need to keep to the Exchange Server folders prior to disabling.

NOTE 2: If this is at work, check to make sure that they aren't using offline files as a way to offload emails from the Exchange server to save server storage.

RaySun2Be - I have my Outlook setup as internet only and don't have an exchange account. Yet I still have this problem, I couldnt find a way to disable offline folders.
