I want to load Seti@Home on to my work PCs. However we use a firewall. Is there a safe way to get around this (Os = NT)?

cheers

If you can get out with a browser, without having to use username and password, then seti can get out.

We have a firewall at my work too, but since seti uses port 80, there is no problem.
It's mostly with proxy it's a problem.
If this is your case, try setting IE's LAN connection to use your proxy.
If I use that way seti most of the time will be able to get out :)

Hope you get it to work ;)

damocles,

My work PC's didn't have the ability to get out through MSProxy without entering Username/Password.....I then proceeded to setup a SETIQueue proxy on my own work PC and set it to cache WU's through the proxy. I then pointed all the Work PC's to that PC...Works great :)

Welcome aboad and good luck! :D

Ack, what's that program to get through proxies?? I think Windogg or Shux or someone is using it. I can't remember what it is. :(

Make sure you have permission to run it on all those PC's or TA can get in big trouble!!
