set W7 mouse sens lower then 1 ??

is there any way to set the desktop mouse sensitivity lower than "first mark in the mouse control panel", in W7?
registry hack maybe?

using a 1600 DPI setting because Quake, pixel fluid movement, my LG needs better tracking, etc.. that kinda stuff.
Don't really want to change DPI setting every time i launch QL.
(i'm using raw mouse input ingame, so the desktop sense settings do not really affect me, except that desktop use is still too fast @1600 x1)

First off, are you sure there isn't another app changing your mouse sensitivity? With Windows alone, I have this set pretty close to the top on every computer I have, and sometimes change it for computers I am working on (but usually just put up with it). I know that my Logitech software, for example, has a separate mouse sensitivity setting. So it's possible something like that is causing your issues.

Also, you may want to make sure any type of pointer accelerators are turned off. This can also artificially raise the speed in certain situations.

yeah, i can assure you i have my mouse under control. playing FPS makes you do strange thing, you know.
but nah, no weird drivers installed (it's a Zowie mouse, it's driverless), no angle snapping, just too many DPIs.
