New network help.
My daughter currently has a desktop pc connected to Comcast Internet using the Comcast modem. The printer is connected to the pc using the usb connection. (Printer is a basic printer using usb for the connection)
For Christmas I bought her a laptop to use. Her house does not have a wifi connection. I know I have to buy a wifi router. The new setup will be Comcast modem to the wifi router and from the wifi router to the desktop pc.
We do not want the pc running all the time. I am looking for a wifi router with a usb output to connect the printer to.
First I thought about buying one of those usb to Ethernet converters for the printer connection. Will that work???
Better yet is a router with a usb connection for the printer. Will something like this work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833320023

The printer server in the Router has a better chance to work.

However with the 3rd Network USB there is always high probability to have troubles (from Not working at all, to partial basic printing).

Most Printer's manufacturers offer AIO printers that are Network ready for less than $100.

A Network ready printer is guarantee to work.

Get the Asus Wireless Router. Try the current printer on the USB port.

It is Working? Terrific.

It does not work, get something like this and connect it via Wireless to the Router.
