My daughter has the ability to work from home. Problem is how to access her worksite. She needs to go thru a vpn.
I have no idea how to do this.
The laptop is a asus running win 8.1.
Can some one give me a idea on how to set up a vpn and join one?
Vpn must be secure as the work is very sensitive.

Doesn't the companies IT department deal with the instructions and setup for this?

I had to VPN in too at a job, but IT gave me all the info and download links to set it all up.

Yeah generally if an employer requires VPN to work from home, theyll most likely have their own VPN suite to use. It needs to be configured to authenticate through their firewall, etc. She needs to ask her work.

HI
After several calls to the company it group, things are up and working.
Yes, they have thier own vpn. Add Norton 360 is not compatible. Add windows updates needed hours to install as the laptop has not been on for months. Add windows defender which is compatible with the company security needed updates. Add two other layers of security had to be installed and now,,, everything works!!!!
I'm getting too old for this stuff!!!!! LOLOLOL
