Set me straight about 1700XP AMD chip....

I've only owned Intel chips. :Q Which I agree, has been quite short sited of me. However, I have seen the light and am intereted in purchasing that barebones system from Outpost.com. The 1700 XP + Mobo + Case + PS for $199.
Whe reading about this chip several persons in this forum talk about overclocking it to 150fbs, but I thougt the fbs was 266 for this chip. Even at Newegg this chip is listed at 1.47 GHz at 266 fsb. I have obiously missed something.
I'm really interested in using AMD products and would appreciate any input and or clarification.

Well the 266 you keep seeing is actually a ddr 133mhz bus. 2*133=266 So when people say I oc to a 150Mhz bus that would be like saying 300Mhz. I have an Iwill KK266+ and 2*256 sticks crucial 7ns and run my xp 1700+ @148 mhz fsb. -Note: my hardrive can't take any more.
