The Barton in my sig died. I have gone back to my XP2200 which I run at 11x166.

I?ve picked up a mobile Barton 2600 and 2x512 sticks of Corsair value ram PC3200, DDR400.

I haven?t installed either yet.

I plan to pop both in and run 11x200 for starters. I have no plans to upgrade my cooling. I use the factory hsf that came with the original Barton. (I ran that one at 12.5x166, I think the cpu temp ran at 45C idle, and went to 50 when playing Far Cry)

I,m not a hardcore oc?er (obviously). I don?t run memtest or any of the cpu testing programs. I?ll just keep an eye on the cpu and mobo temps. If the cpu temp stays below 50C, I figure its ok. If its 45C then maybe I?ll try bumping the multiplier.

My question today is: I thought that to get 200 fsb on my mobo I had to switch a jumper on the mobo. When I looked in the bios just now, 200 was there. Am I wrong about the jumper?

PS, I know that I have to use the 2 mem sticks in slots 1&3 or 2&3.

If it's in the bios, that's all you need. Not familiar with your board. Does it even have such a jumper?
