set DI-524 as wlan accesspoint

Situation: I run many pcs in the basement, but the router is on the 1st floor!

The modem/router is a Thomson speedtouch which has wlan, the router only is a dlink DI-524 with wlan.

I'd like to connect the router-only (dlink) wirelessly to the thomson and then share the internet via LAN to the pcs in the basement from the dlink.

I don't want to connect both routers with a cable.

How can I set this up?

You need a Wireless Router that can configured to Repeater or WDS Mode.

The DI-524 can Not be configured in such Mode, and it can not be flashed with 3rd party firmware either.

You best bet is to buy this and Flash it with DD_WRT.
