Set default view to "list" in vista?

How can I set the default view in windows explorer to "list"?

That's not true - you can select "view" => "list"

I simply want list to be the default since details is horrible.

- In the left pane, navigate to a folder.

- Under the "View" tab, choose the view type you want.

- Under the "Organize" tab, click on "Folder and Search Options".

- Under the "View" tab, click on "Apply to Folders".

- A from will open asking if you want all folders of this type to match this folder's view settings.

- Click "Yes".
