Servicing a RollAir 1500v screw compressor

I have such a nice compressor but it runs at its EnfOfLife hours !

I want to do some minimal service to it and in the first place refilled the oil.

What is the oil-separator-filter made of since it should cost so horrible amount of money ?
( more than I paid for the compressor itself !)

Any ideas for cheap service workAround ?
