how do i find out what services are running in the background and to find out what each does and where to disable them?


and what is ctfmon.exe ? its in there and shows some dift services and i noticed its on my w98 boot up
 
Service in XP is accessed the same way as 2k. Under Administrative Tools and Services. XP and 2k are basically managed the same way... The more I fiddle around with XP the more I feel that it's basically just 2k with some added features.

As many have said on the forum cftmon.exe is from Office XP. Can't remember what it does tho. 😱
