is there any way I can get around it. i open word and it works for about 5 seconds then closes up. I heard that service pack 1 kills copys of pirated office 2000.
 
It's true! MS in league with god has deviced a way to kill pirated copies of office 2000 from sinners. 🙂 Once MS kills your copy it extract your soul and sends it to hell. hehe Yeah buy a copy if you need it that much.
 
or if you dont want to buy just reinstall or go to "repair" in the add/remove programs utility. ive never delt with a pirated version, but this usually works for currupt installations with the disk
 
are you sure I have sp1 on my system plus a ... version of ms office 2000 and it works perfectly fine... what service pack did do once was kill my win2k that piece of $#!^.
