i need some help i need to know if you can upgrade xp to service pack 2 using a cd that comes complete with sp2... the os is unable to update as of right now can anyone help??
 
I don't think you can use another Windows XP CD that happens to have XP SP2 on it to update to SP2 on a current installation. Maybe a repair install? I'm not sure.

The OS is unable to update? Do you have a legitimate Certificate of Authenticity with the product key? Or are you using XP illegally?
 
A repair would do it providing its the same version as the one installed.
Otherwise it wont accept your key.

If your having trouble installing SP2, I'd check for viruses and spyware first.
