Basically our email exchange server went down at 5pm ysterday and we tryed to reboot the system, unplug it etc, no go. It loads halfway through the post menu's and freezes. What could be wrong and do you guys now of anhy tests to run?? We are in a mess right now cause thats where everyones work is saved to

I little more info about the system and which O/S would be helpful...but part load of O/S to me sounds like a software issue. Any back up's? Try a flush and reinstall.

its doesnt get as far as loading windows 2000 which i think it runs. Its on the boot process where all system checks are done and what not. Its a Dell server

Well the info on the problem is really limited. I would imagine there might be an issue with the RAM. If its a DELL machine under warranty I would recommend calling them. I would actually call them either way as they are most familiar with the machine. I run a on-site tech support service but only in the Chicago area.
