I need a new mother board (P2 yea) I want very high performance. Heat=no issue Spce=not that bad I can't decide between a very highend desktop board or a dual processer intel serverboard. (I'll do a little research but please point me to the best MOBO)

For us to better answer your question, you should provide answers to the following:

What are you going to use it for? Games? CPU Intensive Calculations?
Are you going to overclock?
Do you need Dual-GPU Support (SLi/Crossfire)?
Are you planning to use AMD or Intel?
Do you need RAID-5 support for more than 2 HDDs in RAID?

The following is a high-end DFI Singe-processor board with ATi Crossfire support. It has RAID-5 support, dual gigabit LAN, and is a very good overclocker. If money is no issue and you want a good single-processor board, this is it.

I suppose to get the best of both worlds, you could start out with the AMD Opteron. As far as what MOBO to go with that...I dunno. I've got some reading to do to catch up to 4 months or so. Heh. As the link provided above by GT2, it would appear that DFI is still ahead of the game. I use them with my current build too, and I can vouch that it is a sweet MOBO.

As GT2 said, we need some more info to better understand what you will need.

You can also get server-level LGA775 boards for single Pentium-D CPUs. Asus has a few... no onboard sound, onboard low-end video, with PCIe and PCI-X slots.
