Server cable management

This might belong in the cases subforum, but I really could just use some advice on internal cable management for my server's HDDs. I've got a Rosewill RSV-R4000 case with the additional HDD cage so I can hold 12 HDDs. I currently have 9 HDDs in it and I've got so many molex/SATA power and data cables and splitters running everywhere that it makes working on it or replacing dead drives a huge pain. Any advice - except for buying a new case with a backplane - would be helpful. Thanks!

you could do what i did and make custom power cables.

i cut in to some old power supplies that had the locking type sata power connectors.

and i had a super long molex to sata cable and just laid them out accordingly.

Yes . . . when a person has a PSU going south, best thing to do is cut the cables, stick them in the parts-locker, and send the PSU to the county-recycler. I also had found those SATA plugs -- probably at the local electronics-jobber-warehouse or store. Pennies. A little brief tedium, and "voila."
