Server 2016 on old hardware

I'm coming out of left field with this one... looking for servers. I know HP Gen7's are getting old but they are cheap so you could buy whole servers to have as spare parts. I also know HP doesn't officially support Server 2016/Hyper-V on them but I am curious if anyone knows if it installs/functions. Specifically DL380 G7. I'm mostly concerned about drivers... like array and nic.

Should work fine, worst case you can just install the drivers manually if you need them fully-featured.

I have an HP ML350 G6 that runs Server 2016 just fine.

Make sure you use the latest HP SPP (2017.04) for the drivers. Server 2016 has been supported since the 2016.10 SPP.
