Server 2008 R2 print server woes...

We are migrating our 2003 domain to 2008 R2. I've got everything working on the server except I can't get any clients to connect to printers on the print server while using an alias. I found this page http://forums.techarena.in/server-networking/1195474.htm and have tried everything that it says to do and now I can at least browse to the printers and see them through the alias, but not I get the error "Operation could not be completed. Either the printer name was typed incorrectly, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server." Everything works fine if I use the name of the computer but will NOT work with the alias. Any ideas?
