Server 2008 R2 Preventing RDP on wan interface

I am trying to block remote desktop connections just on the wan interface on my server 2008 r2 how ever I have been unable to. I have tired to use the firewall to block the port on the public profile it doesnt work Where do I define weather the interface is public or private. I have the interfaces NATed and I dont have the remote desktop redirection enabled in the wan properties in rras.

Do you have a hardware firewall that you are using on your internet connection?

Yes I do I know I can Block it with that, But I planned on using this as the second firewall and having a DMZ zone. I found where I can tell the Public profile on what interface to apply the rule but when I tell it to block the connection it does not. I was able to NAT the RDP port to a ip address that doesnt exist and that works but id like to get the firewall to work on the WAN interface

If all else fails, you can always use Windows IPSec settings and create a rule blocking inbound connections for that NIC on TCP Port 3389. IPSec works independently of Windows Firewall, so can be used even if the Firewall is disabled.
