Serv-U setup at 100% CPU

Trying to install Serv-U trialware on my work PC. When I do it spikes the CPU to 100% and doesn't do anything but sit there. The hungry process is servusetup.tmp which runs alongside servusetup.exe. I've rebooted and run disk cleanup (this is Windows 2000) but nothing doing. Any suggestions?
