Seruis Problem

Yesterday i posted how my cd drive was gooing. Well today my computer restarts every time i turn it on. it did ity immediately like 30 times. i ejected the dvd rom and cd burner drives and now its working fine. What is going on and what can i do>

Go into the BIOS and set the boot order so that it boots from the harddrive first. It may solve your problem.

What operating system do you use, and what's your CD burning software? There may be a patch that fixes your troubles. I know with Win2000 and DirectCD 3, my system would restart just as it was reaching the desktop, but there's a patch from Roxio that fixeds it (have to boot in Safe Mode With Network Support to download and install it).

Nero and Windows Xp. I have had this comp for 3 months with no problems. i burned like 10 cds though last night which might be the problem?

You should not have hardware problems no matter how many CD's you burn... I tend to think that you might need to check for software updates on your CD burning program and Windows. Have you recently downloaded any Windows updates? I have run into mysterious reboot issues after applying windows updates. My Radeon 9000 Pro caused me this trouble after I made a visit to the windows update site... A driver update from ATI solved the issue... Maybe there is a patch available from Nero that you can download?

i guess i will have to look for drivers. I had it going for like 3 months though. i am mystified as why opening my cd rom drive help thos problem though
