Seriously, what justifies an almost $45 price difference between this RAM?

OK guys,

So I was getting ready to buy my friend some Crucial RAM for his Dell Dimension 4500. It picked the RAM for the computer and it was cheap. It recommended 512MB, DDR PC2100, CL=2.5, NON-ECC, UNBUFFERED and it only costs $59.16, SHIPPED. Pretty good deal I thought. But I decided to check on some value select @ Newegg and found that they had some for $53.00. If I order his video card off new (probably will) I was just going to toss that in my cart if it fit.

But look at this RIPOFF, 50 dollar difference- For What? Saying it is "made for" a Dell, Compaq, etc? What is the difference between these two?

So taking the specs of the RAM I just posted will the Value Select (in the first link) fit in the Dell Dimension 4500. I can't believe you'd have to buy that $100 stick lol. I will probably get that 512mb of Val select if you guys tell me it fits. I think it will.

Btw- here is the Crucial if you needed to see it:
