I have been thinking about getting a new GTO ever since they announced the Holden Monaro would make it's way to the states. With this being the last year of production I have been thinking about it more and more. I test drove an 06 GTO back in December. It didn't give me any significant feeling of more power over my LS1 Z28, but the design quality is better in several areas. That very same 06 GTO is still sitting on the dealer lot while all the other GTOs I've seen there have sold. It's the exact GTO I want too with Impule Blue Metallic paint, dark leather interior, 18" wheels, and most importantly a 6-speed standard transmission (although for some reason they charge MORE for a standard). I took a look at a Brazen Orange 06 with 18s and a 6-spd. I laughed out loud when I read the price they put on it, $35,000. I'm going to shop around for some deals before going after that blue GTO, but for now it seems like dealers are trying to rape people on these since it's the last year of production.
