I just bought another seta drive so now I have two 750gig drives.

This is my first time running two seta drives so either I'm doing something wrong or this thing is dead on arrival.

I'm running these on an Asus P5K-E wifi board with vista 64

The new drive does not show up in my computer at all.

So I hooked up the other one, it shows up in bios under the list of seta devices. Configuration is all set to auto; I don't know anything about raid or if thats what I want to do; right now I just want it to work.

So am I missing a step or something? It shows up in bios but not in windows. I'm not sure where the option to format would come up but as it is now it's still unformatted, maybe that's it.

I tried searching but what am I supposed to search for? I'm sure this is common sense.

Have you downloaded the RAID driver and Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver?

Edit: Sorry, the links don't seem to work. If the problem is the lack of drivers then the page that I've is a search for drivers. Use the drop down menue like this:
Pruduct = Motherboard
Series = Socket775
Model = P5K-E
And then press search and that will take you to the P5K-E download page.

Click on SATA for the RAID driver download and Chipset for the Intel Matrix Storage Manager download.

Sata Drives?

Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. Select Disk Management under "Storage" on the left. You should see and be able to partition the drive here.

I formated it with disk management and now its working.

I already downloaded the raid drivers but they are not installed, is raid something I should look into?

Soem say yes and some say no. I'm on the yes side of things. Do some research on this and other forums to decide whether it is something for which you will have a purpose on your rig.

To be honest, put simply: if you don't know what you'd use it for, you seriously don't need it! Relax! ;)
