I'm not sure how I can get my fingers stuck in the rollers of an ATM machine, but I'd be pretty irritated if it only gave me a receipt and not the cash. Poking at the card slot isn't going to result in money though.
ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Firefighters had to free a woman who got her hand stuck in an ATM at a bank in Robinson Township, Allegheny County.
Township Police Chief Dale Vietmeier told Channel 4 Action News that the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Commonwealth Bank on Park Manor Drive.
Erica Williams, of McDonald, told police that she tried to get money out but only got a receipt and her fingers got caught in the rollers, trapping her hand.
Moon Run firefighters responded and had to break open the machine to free Williams, said Vietmeier.
The rescue was the fire department's second strange call in less than a year.
In December, Moon Run firefighters freed a toddler who climbed into a toy machine at the Mall at Robinson. Fire crews on that case said the girl was not hurt and "seemed to be enjoying herself."
