seriously Hollywood, seriously?

Do...do they understand this word...'down'...?

Perhaps it's set in the future, where the White House floats in the sky, susceptible to crashing. Possibly in Somalia.

I wonder if Legolas falls out and breaks his neck...

I don't get the funny, seems like it could be a rather standard action movie, perhaps nothing crazy good, but not something terribly bad either.

Olympus Has Fallen. It's the same movie.

Never heard of it.

But yeah I think they are running out of ideas since every movie is essentially the same thing these days.

They probably make more money through piracy lawsuits than the movies themselves so as long as they pump out content that can be pirated, does not matter what the box office numbers are like, it's still something they can sue people for. Same idea with music.

Can't happen, now that the White House tours are shut down. What a mistake that turned out to be, now that the terrorists will take it!

ah, gotta love atot.

not only does everyone here complain about every new movie that comes out, everyone here also complains about every movie that isn't even out yet!

Hollywood loves to ride the coat tails of other movies. That's why you see a jumble of movies released around the same time with similar themes. Many low budget movies are much more blatent in their knock off attempts.

It's not just about copying the themes, they actually used the same set.

I thought this was a mockbuster (you know, like "Transmorphers" that came out at the same time as Transformers, but it was a low budget direct-to-DVD shitfest) but then I looked at who was in it.

WTF.

Yeah I haven't been to a movie in a while. It's rare that one comes out that I think is good enough to be worth it. Then again you just know that tons of people will go pay $10 each to see this piece of shit.

This is typical Hollywood M.O. Is anyone really shocked? Copy a plot from another movie, add in some big-name actors and a massive special effects budget, and you have yourself a quick money-maker.

While on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a Capitol policeman springs into action to save his child and protect the president from a heavily armed group of paramilitary invaders.

So one guy faces off with an army who overtook the most defended location in the country? Sounds believable.
