OK, so every Android Iteration HTC or Motorola poops out its ass gets a detailed review.

Every Apple software update gets a frontpage article.

Blackberry releases their next generation of smartphones, and they get buried in Dailytech somewhere.

Thanks Anand - no bias here.

Because RIM is not relevant anymore. The only decent thing they've released recently was the PlayBook, and even that is meh.

You should be ashamed of yourself for that dirty language.

Oh wait, you're Canadian. We can't all be winners.

How is RIM not relevant? The 9900 will sell more than anything else not named an iPhone.

Tablets are a niche market anyways, sooner or later dumbasses will realise the reason the manufacturers push them so much are because of margins (as compared to PCs).

Nope.

And RIM is not relevant because they're getting their ass kicked left and right by Google and Apple with their respective mobile Operating Systems. They have not launched any smartphone worth paying attention to, and they've completely lost consumer mind-share. Their market share has take a nosedive, and for good reason.

If you're familiar with CPUs, RIM is to phones what Via is to desktop CPUs today.

I will be getting a 9900 in a few weeks and I'm pretty excited about it. Current iPhone 4 owner here and I am finding my need for games and apps to be something of a novelty. 95% of my phone use is email, text, twitter, Facebook, and browsing. The bold will do all of that stuff just fine.

Because blackberry devices have been nearly the same for a long time. Oh sure, a track ball may turn into a touchpad, and they might dabble in (and fail at) a touch screen device, but overall there's nothing worth noting. The people that still care about blackberries will still get one because of business or otherwise. They aren't a phone people need reviews of because we all know what to expect. Just because they'll sell well doesn't mean us tech geeks will care at all.

Isn't [redacted] not really acceptable in the threads on ATMDG, let alone the title? I think this fanboy for a failing brand deserves at least an infraction...

well US phones are the only one get reviewed.... world phones never get touched.

incredible s was out forever, but we had to wait for the incredible 2 to get an AT-style review.

Odd, didn't know anyone still cared about Blackberries. Maybe no AT editor wanted to be stuck with the Bold for a week to review it?

As a Blackberry user, I can honestly say that the current generation of devices are irrelevant. The QNX phones will be a different story.

Keep in mind that AT still largely relies on manufacturers to provide review samples. If they don't sample it, Anand can't review it.

Also you'd have better luck emailing (or Twittering) Anand, he likely won't see this thread.

Anandtech is a business, not a charity.

Why dedicate time/resources/money to producing a product review that generates a fraction of the traffic that other product reviews do?

Really? Most of the reviews are of products no one has nor will ever have. How many SSD reviews do we see yet I bet most of us will never get? How many times do we need to see the Silverstone case get a review ever time it gets a new screw placement update? I guarantee more BBs will be sold than SSD drives or the latest cool case mod. So yea, I agree with the OP.
