Sounds like you didn't read "What's in the Box?" and are still in shock over it.

Look at the prices of Apple Keyboards, then iPod docks. Now you know what you paid for. $49+29 = more than you paid.

The first mistake you made was buying an iPad.

Received as gift from a friend.

I actually assumed it came with the power adapter.

This was my first Apple purchase. Never again.

Edit: wait, 49+29 = 78 > 69. The iPad dock doesn't come with a power adapter.

Sweet friends who give iPads. Can I hang out with you guys? :)

Anyways, the iPad came with a power adapter... so why can't you just use that?

Oh please. Just stop it. You're killing me.

You bought a product and didn't check what it came with and it's Apple's fault? I did the same thing a while ago. Bought a printer, but didn't realize it didn't come with the ink cartridges.. ended up costing me $20 more than I expected because I needed ink.. however, it was MY fault for not checking to make sure that was included.

You got GIVEN an iPad and you're complaining? Gees.. troll.

Could have Ebay'd that thing for 600 and combined with your $69 gotten a decent computer.

lol I am not going to eBay a birthday gift from my bff for an amount that will bring me no utility. Aside from that I actually like using it.

That one stays at home, I bought the keyboard dock for the office.

Said friend's bday is coming up in August. Would have been cool if that Notion Ink Android tablet was available by then but I just read it got delayed.

Assuming makes an ass out of you and... well, you know the saying.

And yes. $49 for a keyboard and $29 for an iPod dock is $78. More than you paid for your keyboard dock. And iPod docks don't come with power adapters either. You should read the box.

And you shouldn't blame a company because you assumed. Consumer fault. Apple makes decent products and you have to pay.

Plus, you got a free iPad. I wouldn't complain.

What world do you live in that guys have "bff"s and give each other iPads? :\

Which computer do you sync it to? Just leave the power adapter at the other location and keep then you can just charge while syncing.

Damn, after reading the reviews, I passed on the keyboard/dock thing, too bulky, I'd have suggested an Apple BT keyboard instead, easier to take along in the bag...

Would you feel better if Apple charged you $99 and included the power adapter?

Sadly, I probably would.

Damn, after reading the reviews, I passed on the keyboard/dock thing, too bulky, I'd have suggested an Apple BT keyboard instead, easier to take along in the bag...

I just list my pro and cons:

+ Extra key functions which are not (currently) available for bluetooth keyboards
+ Solid stand for portrait usage
- Can't use landscape orientation at all (docked)!
- You need to take it out of the case (of modify the case)
- Audio Line Out is very noisy if used with USB cable attached to iMac (useless noisy)
- Pretty heavy and bulky. You wont carry it with you!
- Does not need bluetooth but also takes power from the device!

My conclusion: Buy a bluetooth keyboard! Use a nice case with integrated stand!

I have 12 days to return it. I might do this and get a folio case that keeps it tilted-standing.

I guess I'm the only person that thinks a docking station that doesn't come with an AC adapter is weird.

Well, it's not that I don't think it's weird. I think it should include the cable.. but doesn't it just use a USB out? So you could theoretically just use the cable that came with it? I'm sure that was some of their thought process.
