Seriously Annoying Networking Problem

First post, long time lurker here.
I've encountered a seriously networking problem, and I hope you Guru's can help me out.

The problem is this, I have a homenetwork setup with a Linksys Wireless Router everything was working fine upto a few days ago.

The network has 3 wireless clients, as well as 2 wired clients.

All of a sudden, one of my wireless clients is unable to connect to the Internet through DCHP. It is still able to access all of the network resources , ie printer, other clients.

I've tried everything from resetting the IP stack, to buying a new card. I always get the 169.xxx.xxx.xxx address. From the windows settings, I actually get network strength.

NEXT .... it gets better

I bring the laptop over to a friends house. I try it there, to see if it was my router gone bad. Same results happen at his place, but worse .. all of his wireless clients are now unable to connect through DCHP either! ??

I really don't know where to begin debugging this .. if anyone has had similar experiences, or knows of a solution I would really appreciate your help!

Thanks

I tried re-installing the card already =) .. i removed all the network files, reinstalled. I even tried installing a different card, still no dice.
