Serious Win2k Internet problem

Ok, this has been the PC week from hell for me

My main PC died on me and I am now forced to use my second PC

This is a P3 933 with 384 Megs of Ram, running Win 2k Pro

I connect to the internet via a Dynalink DSL Router

When i switched to this PC i noticed I could surf the net fine, but that i struggled to download anything. FTP and HTP transfers will just timeout on me. If i use a resume program then Ihave to resume so often that the file invariably comes out corrupt. I can access every website but that of my ISP

Talking to my ISP they said there are no problems at their end. Thinking it must be a problem I created I have reformatted and reinstalled Win2k and also setup the router again. However the problem still remains.

Has anyone got an idea what could cause this?

Currently I am stuck with a very default Win2k install because I cant update drivers etc, this is very frustrating
