I bought a 9700 pro, built by ATI from newegg a few months ago. I use the TV-OUT extensively and have never had a problem before now. All of a sudden, it seemed liek there was way too much electricity around my computer....as if it wasn't grounded at all...but of course it is... IT would shock me when I'd hook things into the back of the computer even when it was on and the other end of the cord wasn't hooked into anything. After a while of that the TV-OUT wouldn't work. IT wouldn't show the post screen and stuff on the TV like it usually does when you restart which I Thought was really weird.
I was upset...until someone told me that I do something....I enabled TV-OUT and it didn't work, but I went into the properties of the TV and changed the format to PAL, and then back to the US format (forget which it is...ntcf or whatever) and it would work. After a while of doing that it doesn't work at all....can anyone help me? I've done everything I can think of short of throwing it into another computer and that's such a pain so I Don't want to do that.
I know at least someone out there has had the same problems....is there a fix?? please help...I don't want to send it back to ATI.
