Serious Topic Please: Is anyone dyslexic?

I am wondering this because i believe i have some form of dyslexia. I was wondering if anyone had this, and could give me on some help to find out if i really have it?

Dyslexia Facts

About 10% of the population have some form of dyslexia. About 4% are severely dyslexic, including some 375,000 schoolchildren.

Dyslexia causes difficulties in learning to read, write and spell. -
I have bad writing skills (hard to read), i do not spell well, and i have trouble reading.

Short-term memory, mathematics, concentration, personal organisation and sequencing may be affected. - Math is the reason i think i am dyslexic, i am not very good at it (even normal sums in my head, i need help with my fingers and or paper.) .

Dyslexia is biological in origin and tends to run in families, but environmental factors may also contribute to it.

Dyslexia affects all kinds of people regardless of intelligence, race or social class.

The effects of dyslexia can largely be overcome by skilled specialist teaching and the use of compensatory strategies.

The earlier the intervention the better the outcome.

Thanks for any pleh 😛

Thats your answer right there... seek out a professional. I have some random moments of it but nothing serious... I worked with a guy recently that couldn't run a credit card over the phone because he just couldn't enter the numbers as he was told them... was pretty bad and I think pretty much ruined his life...

I feel like sometimes I am when I reverse letters accidentally in words, or make careless spelling mistakes or miss things when proofreading, yet other "symptoms" such as a lack of mechanical math skills are things that I excel with.

I can read just fine, however, I sometimes find myself mixing the first letters of words in my speech, and I stutter a lilttle bit more than I ever remember doing so before my highschool years. meh, im only 19, maybe I'm getting old already😛

i am horrible at spelling. When a person spell out a word, it takes forever for me to decipher it in my head. WTF is wrong with me?????

hahaha that happens to me too. the weird thing is, i am really really good at spelling. it's just when someone is spelling it out orally that it takes me longer than other people.

I think my mom is dyslexic, to a small degree. She is really bad at spelling. it's actually just annoying how bad she is, she asks me to spell things for her all the time. her father (i think) was like autistic or something, he was REALLY good at math, he could look at a phone book and add up all the phone numbers on a page in his head. My sister and i are vey good at spelling and at math. I'm sure my brother would be good at math and spelling if he didn't do tons of drugs and wasn't a cocaine dealer.
