what causes your anus to itch? you know, you have this crazy urge to scratch where sun don't shine? Mods, this is a legitimate question and i worded the sentences best i could. i hope this is appropriate.

hemorrhoids or worms (pinworms), and maybe other things. Most likely hemorrhoids, especially if you notice any blood. Something to sooth hemorrhoids is a suppository called "anusol". You can get it at any pharmacy OTC.

wahhhhhh, must be the worms. i know i have a good diet and can't be the roids. i heard that worms cause the itchness but wanted to be sure. isn't there a medicine (pill) to treat this?

I'm not sure what medicine there is to treat the worms. The way you are taught to find out if you have worms (this is high school zoology, and even in my parisitology class in college ...) At night before bed, put some scotch tape down there, sticky side facing the rectum. The worms come out at night, and would get stuck on the tape. Never tried it, but that's what people say to do. the hemorrhoids though match your description better. Those things suck, I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. I look at some websites for "worm medicine" in a few minutes

Well, I think if you take care of your hygiene (wipe real good) you will drop the chances of having a itchy bunghole. Especially if you have a little hair down there, like myself, you will want to keep that area extra clean with regular showers.

I think this happens to everyone...every once in a while..say you're walking in the mall and you get this terrible itch there. you're too embarrassed to scratch it, but you're in so much pain you start shaking violently. It doesn't happen all the time. but you know.. it does happen. ::cough::
