I just gave the demo a try and it was unplayable on a Athlon X2 4400, witha geForce 7800GTX, under Windows x64. Now this system should not have any problems play such a game even with everything turned up to the max, yet no matter the resolution of graphics detail level (ever try 640x480 with everything set to low?), the game pauses ever few seconds for about a second. This is not the systems fault as many other games such as Battlefield2, Area 51 and Farcry work without issue so it has to be the engine, but basicly I was very disapointed that it would have such issues on a top of the line rig. On my other rig running Windows XP 32bit, with an Athlon X2 4600 and a 7800 GT everything played fine, so I feel safe is saying that it is an XP x64 issue.

I found it ok, but not as much fun as the previous two games. I may get it when it comes out if it follows the trend of the last two and debuts for $19.99

So far I LOVE SS2! I'm just on the first world still but the sounds, sights, and vechiles in it so far are all awesome! It taxes my X800XL pretty good at 1280x1024 but the environment is very nice and it's actually *fun* to play. Nice change of pace from Q4 and FEAR having to try to scare the hell out of you, this game scares me with well made monsters that are loud and fast! Buy this game!

I thought SS Second Enconter was a much better game overall, plus its a bummer SS2 doesnt support widescreen properly while Second Encounter did. Go figure.

Since you seem so eager to put down other members BFG,
Asking someone to run a benchmark is "putting them down"?

I'll buy this game and how about you and I compare some benches?
What purpose would this serve? The point I was illustrating was that HDR is likely unplayably slow on an NV4x card.

I wouldn't recommend you pick up SS2 Rollo because we all know how outraged you were when you learned your non-existant X1800 needed beta drivers to play the game correctly.
