Ok, so i cant select anything higher than 1024x786, some people claim it works just fine for them. Here's my question, how did you get that to happen, because my demo sure didnt support it out of box, i'm confused. I'm adding a poll, just because i have never done one.

Try using your KB to change options.. sometimes I can click click click with the mouse and it won't move. Also, I can choose from 640x480 up to 1600x1200 in the game.

You can also edit the Sam2.ini file. It should be in C:\Program Files\Serious Sam 2 Demo\Content\SeriousSam2 by default.

Change the lines:
gfx_pixResWidth = xxxx;
gfx_pixResHeight = xxxx;

I had the same problem last night when I was playing the demo. But for me the highest selectable res. was 1280x960. I'm gonna try it again tonight and see if I can get 1280x1024. Editing the .ini didn't help, it went back to 640x480 when I fired the game back up.

1280x1024 is not available. Thats my preferred rez on my CRT. I can max out at 1920x1440.

So if 1280x1024 is the max res on your LCD then you might only be able to select something below it. Like 1024x768 or 1280x960.

I didn't have any problems going higher than that, but the game sucks anyway. Couldn't connect to any servers, same message everytime. And... I switched to 1680x1050, yet in 1:1 it seemed to be about 1360x1024. So I swithced Widescreen to Yes and it simply stretched the fvck outta the image. 1680x1050 is 1680x1050, just display it will ya? I dont get why games (usually not as polished ones, ala Joint Ops) have or may not have 16:10 res of 1680x1050, yet they still have a toggle 'Widescreen'. To me, it seems like HL2 did it best, obviously if you pick a 16:9 or 16:10 res, then you have widescreen. Just having a toggle usually makes it worse. Why just stretch out the image, when the majority of LCDs do that anyway?

I can select 1280x1024 by editing the game's config file, but according to options it's at 640x480, which it clearly isn't. Trying editing the .ini file listed above, and actually take a look at the results.
