From the looks of it, it seems like it will be a lot better gameplay wise, and have kick ass graphics.

How is this different from the Serious Sam 2 full game that I have sitting on CD at home? Is it just re-done with a different engine?

Just downloaded it and played it - good cheesy fun like the first one.

The graphics are really good if you have a capable cpu & video card. Unfortunately i had to do 640 x 480 and everything on low so obviously couldnt really experience much in that area.

My only real complaint is that the general sound effects like from the gun and robots etc. can sound annoying at times. But thats probably just me.

You have Serious Sam: The Second Encounter.

Serious Sam 2 is all new.

I played it this morning before I had class - it is a blast! The game plays great in 1600x1200 with everything maxed out for me
I think I'm gonna play it a few times.. see how I can do on the hardest setting :D

Do you perchance mean Serious Sam: The second encounter? Second encounter is basically a standalone, expansion pack type affair for the first game, with a slightly misleading name that does indeed suggest sequeldom, but, erm, isn't.

On the subject of the demo for Serious Sam 2 - I'm probably being blind, and I have been awake for 36 hours :p but I can't for the life of me find the system requirements on any of the linked sites. Can anybody point this bleary eyed Samophile in the right direction? :)

Edit: Well and truly ninja'd :D

Cheers, Jazzboy :D

Looks like I can get me some good old blasting in after all :D

I'm salivating at the thought of 3000 bomb handed maniacs screaming into view over the horizon in glorious technicolour - That kind of pant wetting, "I've only 5 bullets left and there's thousands of 'em" terror hadn't been felt prior, since the first time I played doom, nor since :D

Yea....another broken demo (seems to be the recent trend)

Playing in 1920x1200 + Widescreen mode gives mouse lag unlike any other mouse lag I've ever seen. I'm talking about move my mouse and 2-3 seconds later it moves. Take it out of WS mode and it's fine.

Oh well
