Ok, so, I have a gigabyte GA-M55+S3G motherboard that supports DDR2 240 Pin ram up to DDR2 800, and it also says that compatible voltage is 1.8v... however, I recently purchased some G.Skill ram that apparently requires a voltage of 2.1 voltage (and it wont boot)... anyway, what I don't understand is that I also had some OCZ ram that also required 2.1v and it would only work in slot 3. However, now, I can't get any combination of ram to boot, even the original configuration I had will not boot.

I guess what I believe is that the motherboard cant put out the required voltage for the RAM, and therefore won't boot. However, I don't understand how it could have worked before with the OCZ RAM. I'm also fairly certain that I didn't do anything wrong (IE short out the RAM) because when I originally put the system together, I had issues with what slot I put the stick of OCZ RAM in (It only worked in slot 3). I don't understand. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the Forums :) What I would try first, is to put in your stock RAM, and then clear the CMOS to reset the motherboard to stock settings, and see if it'll work again.

If it does, then manually set the voltage yourself, using the motherboard's BIOS menus. Then save that setting change, exit, and let it go through a full bootup before shutting down, so it knows the settings are workable.

Now remove the old RAM, put in the new RAM now that the motherboard's set to provide the right voltage (which it would not do automatically). If it still works, great. If not, consider buying good-quality "vanilla" RAM like plain old Crucial non-fancy stuff.

You may also find it necessary to set the timings manually in the bios. I've had to do that before.
